Head to Toe MRI
Perth's Most Comprehensive MRI Protocol

Our most comprehensive MRI protocol — brain, cranial nerves, neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis. Recommended for patients with neurological risk factors or those seeking the most thorough internal assessment available.
Our Mission

What Is Head to Toe MRI Perth?

The Head to Toe MRI is our most comprehensive scanning protocol — extending the whole body MRI to include detailed assessment of the neck structures, cranial nerves, and cervical spine in addition to the standard head-to-pelvis protocol. It is designed for patients who want the most thorough internal health audit available, or who have specific risk factors in the head and neck region.

Like all our MRI services, the protocol uses a 3 Tesla high-field scanner with diffusion-weighted imaging (DWIBS), providing superior resolution and oncological sensitivity compared to standard 1.5T protocols.

What Does It Assess?

Brain — tumours, vascular malformations, white matter changes, cerebrovascular disease

Cranial nerves — acoustic neuromas, facial nerve pathology, skull base lesions

Neck — thyroid, salivary glands, lymph nodes, carotid vessels

Cervical spine — disc disease, cord compression, nerve root compromise

Thoracic & lumbar spine — full spinal assessment

Thorax, abdomen & pelvis — all organ systems as per whole body protocol

Bone marrow throughout — including cervical spine marrow signal

Common Questions

The Head to Toe protocol adds detailed neck, cranial nerve, and cervical spine assessment to the standard whole body protocol. It takes approximately 15–30 minutes longer and is particularly valuable for patients with head, neck, or neurological risk factors.

Yes — both protocols are priced at $2,195 as an all-inclusive fee. The slight additional scan time is included at no extra cost.

A GP referral is recommended for continuity of care, but not strictly required for elective preventive scanning.
